Douglas ":Slug" McCarty

Douglas ”Slug” Wade McCarty, 59, passed away June 20, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born in Nicholas County June 10, 1958 to the late James Clayton and Tilly Lucille McGlothin McCarty. He is survived by his daughters; Dana Gates and Kelly McCarty, a son, Lucas ( Heidi) Bussell, his grandchildren; Austin Shrout, Keelee McCoy, Kenley Evans, Adrian McCarty, Makayla, Brittney and Harley Bussell. His brothers; Barry ( Charlotte) McCarty, Wayne ( Peggy) McCarty and Roy ( Nancy) McCarty, a sister, Betty McCarty, a very special uncle, Ralph McGlothin, and a very special friend, Cebastian Perez. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, James Clayton and Tilly Lucille McGlothin McCarty and a son, Douglas Allen McCarty. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Saturday June 24, 2017 at Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Stacey officiating. Visitation Saturday 3 – 6 pm. Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
